Owen Memorial Rose Garden
Owen Memorial Rose Garden comes to life every Spring in Eugene, Oregon. The park is comprised of nine acres of waterfront property that was first gifted to the City of Eugene in 1951. The Eugene Rose Society gave 750 rose bushes for the original planting located in the northern portion of the park.
There are many places to sit down, including benches, picnic tables and vast expanses of green grass. Owens Rose Garden is also home to one of few official historic trees in the State of Oregon. The Black Tartarian Cherry was probably planted near the turn of the 20th century.
Location: Near the Blair neighborhood. Walk, ride or drive North towards the Willamette River on Jefferson from the 6th or 7th street area. There is an average sized lot for off-street parking.
